Terms of use
The simple rules for learning with Suvaani, who owns what, and what happens if something goes wrong.
Last updated: 25 October 2026
1Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply to everyone who uses Suvaani, including Prakrit Suvaani and Sanskrit Suvaani. By using the site you agree to them. If you set up or use Suvaani for a child, you agree to them on the child's behalf and remain responsible for that use.
How we handle your information is explained in our privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
2Your account
- Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- An account is for one person. A parent or guardian may manage an account for a child.
- Choose a display name that is respectful. It may appear on the leaderboard if you switch that on.
- Tell us straight away through the contact page if you think someone else is using your account.
4Using Suvaani fairly
Please use Suvaani for learning and teaching. You must not:
- copy, download or collect our lessons, exercises, tables, stories, pictures or recordings in bulk, whether by hand, by script or by any automated tool;
- use our content to train software or build a competing course or dataset;
- share your account or Premium access with people outside your account;
- try to get around Premium, break or test our security, or overload the site;
- copy, decompile or rebuild the grammar engine or other parts of the site;
- use the site to harass anyone, or post names or messages that are offensive or unlawful.
5Copyright and ownership
The classical languages and their ancient texts belong to the heritage of Bharat and of everyone. What Suvaani has made around them belongs to Suvaani, including:
- the lessons, explanations, exercises, practice sets, tables and their arrangement;
- our selections and translations of texts, our stories and dialogues;
- the illustrations, audio recordings, screens and design of the site;
- the grammar engine and all of the site's software;
- the names and logos Suvaani, Prakrit Suvaani and Sanskrit Suvaani.
All of this is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. © Suvaani. All rights reserved.
Books and references we teach from remain the property of their authors and publishers. We credit them on the sources pages of each course.
What you may do. You may use Suvaani for your own learning, and teachers may show it to and use it with their own students in class. You may quote a short passage for review, study or criticism if you credit Suvaani with a link. Anything beyond that, such as republishing, selling, translating or printing our material for distribution, needs our written permission. Ask us through the contact page.
6Reporting a copyright concern
We respect the rights of authors and publishers. If you believe something on Suvaani uses your work without permission, write to us through the contact page under “Privacy, copyright or legal” and include:
- your name and how to reach you;
- the work you own and where it is on Suvaani;
- why you believe its use is not permitted, and a statement that what you tell us is true.
We will look into it promptly and remove or correct the material where that is right.
7Your suggestions
We are grateful for corrections and ideas. If you send us a suggestion, you allow us to use it to improve Suvaani without any obligation to you.
8Accuracy and learning
Every form on Suvaani is built by grammatical rules, checked against classical sources and reviewed by teachers, but mistakes can still happen. If you find one, please tell us. Suvaani is a place to learn; it does not award degrees or official certificates, and completing a course does not by itself qualify you for any examination.
9Changes to the service
We keep improving Suvaani, so lessons, features and prices may change. We may also pause the site for maintenance. If a change takes away something you have paid for during your Premium period, we will tell you and offer a fair solution.
10Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Suvaani accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and cannot promise that it will always be free of errors or interruptions.
As far as the law allows, Suvaani is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses arising from your use of the site, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us for Premium in the twelve months before the issue arose. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
11Ending your use
You can stop using Suvaani at any time and delete your account from your account page. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
12Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Bharat.
If you are unhappy with anything, please contact us first through the contact page. We will try in good faith to settle the matter within 30 days.
If we cannot settle it together, the dispute will be decided by the courts of competent jurisdiction in Bharat. This does not take away any right you have to approach a consumer commission or other authority under the law.
13Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Suvaani grows. We will change the date at the top of this page, and for important changes we will point them out on the site. If you keep using Suvaani after a change, the updated terms apply.
